OnePlus 13R: A Closer Look at the $600 Flagship Phone

The OnePlus 13R is a $600 flagship phone that scales down from the $900 OnePlus 13 partly by using last year's Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and omitting wireless charging.

The OnePlus 13R has three cameras on the back, including a 50-megapixel wide camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera.

The OnePlus 13R has a 6.78-inch display with a 2,780x1,264-pixel resolution. Its display also runs at a 120Hz refresh rate.

I found the OnePlus 13R to be particularly great at gaming, since last year's Qualcomm processor is still quite powerful for running games at their highest graphics settings. The phone might heat up, however.

The OnePlus 13R includes a 55-watt SuperVooc charger, which is quite fast for phones in this price range. 

The 55-watt power adapter is a thick one compared to smaller and slower power adapters.

The OnePlus 13R runs on Android 15 and ships with OnePlus' OxygenOS 15 skin.

The OnePlus 13R provides a few AI features for photography, primarily aimed at enhancing quality of photos or removing subjects from them. There is also an AI notes assistant.

The OnePlus 13R includes a physical switch for quickly moving between silent, vibrate and ring modes.
