The Nexus 7 shows off its beautifully clear screen (pictures)

The 2013 version of the Nexus 7 replaces the old one with a much better screen, a noticeably faster processor, a back camera, wireless charging, and latest version of Android, 4.3.

The new Nexus 7's back side doesn't feel as soft and inviting as the original.

However, it's one of the waifiest tablets available and easily fits into most hands.

I'm a huge fan of close-up pics of tablet buttons. Actually, I'm not, but I liked this particular pic so much I married it. That's also not true.

The Micro-USB port doubles as an HDMI port, as long as you have the required (about $30) adapter.

The Nexus 7 now has a back camera. Thankfully, the tablet is small, so you probably won't look too dorky using it in public. Probably.

The old Nexus 7 is still available, but Google is no longer selling it. However, the company will continue to support it with updates for the foreseeable future. If $230 is too rich for your blood, Walmart is currently selling the old model for $150!

OK, this pic is about seven slides too late, but it more clearly illustrates the size as well as texture difference between the two.

One of the few notable Android 4.3 additions is the Multi-User Restricted Profiles feature, which allows you to set up accounts with extremely limited access.

Ah, remember when the Nexus 7 was just a blue, yellow, red, green, and black box? No? Too bad. It was a glorious time.
