2016 Toyota Camry XLE V6: The best at being average (pictures)

Not every buyer wants a sports sedan. Some are content with reliability, safety and a decent amount of creature comfort.

To that end, the Camry fits the bill for most people buying cars.

It's comfortable, reliable, and won't break the bank (or your back on bumpy roads).

Our tester came with the surprisingly sprightly, 268-horsepower six-cylinder engine.

Most buyers will likely opt for the four-cylinder engine, though, as it's both cheaper and more efficient.

But even with its big motor, the Camry V-6 is still capable of 30+ mpg on the highway.

The Camry was facelifted for 2015, and it comes into 2016 virtually unchanged.

Over a week of driving, I came to fall in love with the Camry's sheer accessibility.

It's also 75 percent of the Lexus-vault experience, which might be troublesome for ES350 sales.

All in all, the Camry is damn near the perfect choice for buyers who care not for driving dynamics.
