The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is looking fresh in Chicago (pictures)

The styling updates are subtle, covering the front and rear fasciae, a new headlight design and available LED fog lights and daytime running lights.

There are all three new wheel designs in 17-, 18- and 19-inch diameters.

Other than the aesthetic tweaks, there are no updates specific to the Santa Fe Sport.

There is, however, a new color -- Nightfall Blue.

If safety's what you're after, Hyundai's reinforced its suite of active and passive safety systems.

Updates for 2017 include a new multi-view camera system, full-range adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning and autonomous emergency braking.

There's also a new electronic parking brake with automatic holding.

The Santa Fe's Infinity-branded premium audio system now receives surround sound and Clari-Fi technology.

Thanks to some slight tweaks, fuel economy is projected to rise by 1 mpg in both highway and city driving.

Santa Fe Sports come equipped with a standard 5-inch LCD infotainment screen, but a 7-inch unit with Android Auto connectivity and an 8-inch getup with navigation is also available.
