2017 Mazda6 goes hard on the refinement

That's great and all, but the best improvements lie within the car.

The 2017 Mazda6 goes on sale this September, with pricing to be announced closer to its on-sale date.

While the Mazda3 adds a few exterior refinements, the 2017 Mazda6 only adds a new paint color.

However, it did hide many NVH improvements under the skin, including new door seals, better panel gaps and thicker front glass.

The 2017 Mazda6 features G-Vectoring Control, which adjusts torque output to the front axle during turning for flatter, more predictable handling.

The Mazda6 features a new Premium Package on the Grand Touring trim.

The Premium Package adds a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, Nappa leather surfaces and the i-ELOOP regenerative braking system.

The heated rear seat controls are in the fold-down center armrest, which means you can't access them if there's a third person in the rear seat.

Entry-level models now receive the Mazda Connect infotainment system, too.

The 6 features three new additions to its suite of safety systems -- traffic sign recognition, lane-keep assist and advanced blind spot monitoring.
