2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible is one stunning droptop

For 2021, Lexus has given its range-topping LC 500 a new convertible variant, and it's a stunner.

Despite having its top chopped, it loses none of its visual appeal.

The LC's interior is one of the best on the market at any price, with the exception of Lexus' diabolical Remote Touch infotainment system.

At least there's Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration now.

You don't see too many naturally aspirated V8 engines anymore, and the LC's is a corker. It develops 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque.

More GT than sports car, the rear-drive LC gets its power to the ground via a mandatory 10-speed automatic with paddle shifters. 

The Coupe's hybrid powertrain is not available in convertible form. No loss.

There are few more elegantly designed cars on the market, and certainly none of them carry a Lexus badge.

Semi-aniline leather seats are a worthwhile option.

That touchpad to the right of the electronic gear selector? It's the worst thing about the entire vehicle.

The 10.3-inch widescreen display is not a touchscreen, and it's not particularly intuitive.

The Lexus LC 500 Convertible's details are every bit as glorious as its overall shape.

This test car rides on optional 21-inch wheels with run-flat tires, and somehow the ride isn't terrible.
