2022 Volvo XC40 Recharge is an attractive Swedish EV

The XC40 Recharge is the electric version of Volvo's stylish compact crossover.

It looks nearly identical to the gas-powered XC40.

A blocked-off grille, different wheels and lack of exhaust tips are the only differences.

The XC40 Recharge's interior is pretty much the same, too.

The Recharge uses the excellent new Android Automotive infotainment system.

It has two electric motors with a total of 402 horsepower, and the EPA rates the Recharge with a range of 223 miles.

These 20-inch wheels are optional.

Cargo space is unchanged, too.

The small frunk is perfect for charging cables.
