Go green with envy for the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R

Said Iago to Othello, "Beware of jealousy. It is the green eyed monster." Methinks Iago never saw the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R.

Nicknamed the Beast from the Green Hell, for the section of the Nurburgring where it was tested, the signature Green Hell magno paint color means it cuts an intimidating figure.

The 4-liter biturbo V8 engine puts out 585 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.

Power goes to the rear wheels, as it should, through a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox.

No manual transmission is offered, but you can shift the gears yourself with the paddle shifters. Hey, sometimes second best is all you can hope for.

A rear-wheel steering system helps get the GT R through the turns efficiently.

There is plenty of aerodynamic technology on the GT R, including a rear wing and a new component that deploys from under the car, helps the two-seater stick to the road.

There are no power seats in the GT R. Instead, Mercedes-Benz chose to save weight with light, manually adjustable sport bucket seats. AMG performance seats are also available.
