TOKYO -- This is the Honda Power Exporter 9000, a box you can plug into your electric vehicle (EV) and use it to power your house.
The thing is simple to use, and much easier to maintain than your average generator.
A series of plugs make it easy to connect whatever you like.
And a plastic door keeps it safe and clean.
The plug slots into the other side of the Exporter.
It is of the Chademo variety, a standard used in Japan for fast DC charging.
This is Honda's first generator, made in partnership with Sony in 1964.
One of Honda's Power Exporters was used in a hospital, where it powered a variety of sensitive equipment without flaw.
This is Honda's prototype fuel cell car. The final model will be shown soon, at the Tokyo Motor Show!
