Lexus LC Convertible Concept is all but ready for production

This is the Lexus LC Convertible Concept.

The automaker sought to change things up, so it cut off the roof.

It's been three years since Lexus dropped the LC coupe at the Detroit Auto Show.

The lines of the LC Convertible Concept closely resemble that of the LC 500 coupe.

The production version of this concept is expected to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in early July.

The convertible will probably rock the same 5.0-liter V8 as the LC 500.

 The production convertible is expected to employ a power-folding soft top.

It wouldn't be a concept car without some big ol' wheels.

The lines of the LC work well as a convertible.

Expect the LC Coupe's already-tight cargo room to get even smaller because of the folding roof mechanism.
