Cadillac's bottom of the line sport-luxury sedan gets a remodel for 2008, giving it features not available in more expensive models from the automaker. It scores high on both performance and cabin tech.

The very geometric front of the CTS uses an interesting headlight configuration, with the blinkers stacked above the lamps. There is also an LED light pipe that gives the car a unique look at night.

The raked back roofline gives the CTS a coupe-look, accentuated by the wide C-pillars.

The cabin tech options--stereo and navigation--are as cutting edge as they come. Too bad it doesn't have Bluetooth.

We were very happy with the CTS's responsive handling. It held the corners well with no slip.

The six speed automatic does a good job holding low gears when you drive aggressively, making its upshifts about around 6,000RPM. A six speed manual is also available.

In its closed position, just the top band of the LCD is visible, showing audio information.

Because the car has an in-dash 40GB hard drive for its navigation system, some space is devoted to music storage.

Convenient iPod integration is also available, with a cable connector in the center console.

With an iPod connected, the all of its music can be played by selecting it on the car's display.

You can use this touch-screen to choose audio sources and to skip tracks. The display shows song title, artist, and album.

MP3 CDs get the full navigation treatment, letting you choose tracks by artist, genre, and album.

XM radio is one of the many audio sources available in the CTS. You can also pause the radio, and up to 60 minutes of the audio stream will be buffered on the hard drive.

The premium stereo on the CTS uses a Bose 5.1 surround sound system.

An XM satellite radio data feed provides weather information, shown in this display.

In 3D mode, the map shows renderings of particular buildings and landmarks.

When putting a destination into the navigation system, it offers you three different routes.

Traffic data cames through XM satellite radio. The car will give you an audio warning if there is traffic up ahead on the road.

The navigation system's route guidance reads out the names of upcoming streets.

The POI database is complete, offering just about every retail establishment in an area.
