While we found the Accord Sedan boring, the Accord Coupe looks excellent and offers an exhilarating driving experience.
The grille of the coupe gets a slightly different treatment than the sedan, with a diamond pattern.
The Accord's 3.5-liter V-6 engine puts out a good 268 horsepower while getting decent mileage and low emissions.
The Accord Coupe shows an excellent profile with its heavily raked back and wedge shape.
The large tail light structures meld well into the back of the Accord Coupe, and the spoiler on the trunk lip is a nice touch.
Even with its coupe design, there is still plenty of luggage room.
The interior fit and finish, and the quality of materials, matches Honda's upscale brand, Acura.
This control interface, though similar to what we've seen in models from Acura, is cleaner and better integrated.
Steering is responsive on the Accord Coupe, although there is more oversteer than we would like.
The six speed manual transmission is only available with the top-of-the-line Accord, but it is worth it.
The gauges show a nice, clean design.
There are two sets of buttons, one on top of the other, for voice command. The top controls the phone system, while the bottom one controls navigation and other car functions.
The navigation menu is easy to use--you can make selections with the multifunction knob or use voice command to say the name of any menu area.
The points-of-interest database includes entries for all businesses, from corporate offices to retail shops.
The navigation system offers multiple routes to each destination.
Another tab gives you this menu, which lets you customize any route you have programmed.
XM satellite radio is one of the audio sources available in the Accord Coupe.
The interface lets you easily navigate the folders on an MP3 CD, but the system doesn't show track, artist, and album name.
The auxiliary input is mounted next to a power point, making it easy to keep an MP3 player charged.
We like the bass from this audio system, but the highs weren't all that impressive.
