The 2018 Volkswagen Golf lineup is one big, happy family

Volkswagen has changes to the entire Golf lineup for the 2018 model year.

Every model receives updated front and rear fasciae.

The standard Golf still sports a 170-horsepower I4, and that motor extends to both the SportWagen and Alltrack, as well.

The base S model (for Golf, SportWagen and Alltrack) now comes with a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system and LED taillights.

Move up to the SE for any of those three models, and you get standard autonomous emergency braking, keyless access and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The top-tier SEL adds adaptive cruise control, an auto-dimming mirror, ambient lighting and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Optional premium packages include lane departure warning, automatic high beams, parking sensors, LED headlights and a premium audio system.

The Golf GTI also receives a bump in power, now putting out 220 horsepower no matter the trim.

The Golf R remains the king of the lineup, with 292 horsepower and standard all-wheel drive.

The 2018 Golf family goes on sale this fall.
