The Audi R8 RWS offers a different flavor of fun

Audi R8 RWS, short for rear-wheel-series, is the first rear-wheel-drive Audi in a very long time.

There's almost nothing on the outside to hint at the fact that this is not a Quattro Audi R8.

The R8 RWS has the same naturally aspirated V10 as its sibling.

That engine still sounds phenomenal too.

The current Quattro R8 feels rear-biased most of the time, so in normal driving conditions you won't notice a difference. 

push it past the limit of grip though and the difference in having two fewer spinning wheels becomes apparent. 

Some say that rear-wheel-drive makes the R8 RWS more a car for purists.

It certainly adds a new dimension to driving the R8. It's not necessarily better, just different.

Only 999 examples of the R8 RWS will be made.
