Not every automaker offers drag racers straight from the factory, but Chevrolet does with the COPO Camaro.
The COPO Camaro features a solid rear axle for better drag traction, a supercharged 5.7-liter V8, adjustable suspension, a manual steering rack, a fuel cell, unassisted disc brakes and a racing-only wiring harness. Two other engines are on offer, as well.
Every car needs a "350 Supercharged" sticker slapped across the hood.
The COPO Camaro's matte-blue paint doesn't have any effect on aerodynamics. I didn't think that it would, I'm just running out of captions.
Business in the front, and a rager in the back.
You know your car is quick when a drag chute is standard equipment.
You know it's real quick when it needs bars to prevent the car from pulling a wheelie.
Even with the stickiest tires possible, the chute and wheelie bars are required.
Props to Chevrolet for keeping its wheel design nice and old-school.
