Netflix is bolstering its library of licensed content, with around 20 new Paramount shows set to hit the streamer in the coming year. The entertainment company announced the additions in Tuesday's fourth-quarter letter to shareholders, stating that SEAL Team, Watson (the Sherlock Holmes-inspired CBS procedural) and Taylor Sheridan's Mayor of Kingstown are among the titles being added for US viewers.

What's interesting about this news, aside from the detail that you'll soon be able to watch original Paramount-owned titles on Netflix, is that it also marks the first time any Taylor Sheridan TV series will be available to stream on the platform. Netflix's Paramount deal also includes shows like Matlock and King of Queens, which the streamer says will be available only in international territories.

Netflix also noted its new deal with Universal Pictures that will make it the first streaming stop for the studio's live-action films, such as Jurassic World: Rebirth. Viewers will be able to watch Universal movies beginning this month. Additionally, the company's agreement with Sony has been expanded to allow it to stream feature films to subscribers worldwide after their theater and home entertainment runs. The rollout will start later this year and will be gradual, but it means you'll be able to watch movies like The Legend of Zelda and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse on Netflix.

During the fourth-quarter earnings call, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos also touted the company's upcoming 2026 slate of movies and TV shows. Titles include Narnia, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, a new season of Beef, and Here Comes the Flood, a heist film starring Denzel Washington and Robert Pattinson.Â
